Lever l'ancre et embarquer

Au fil des années, le Seigneur a utilisé ses enfants de manières différentes afin de promouvoir un changement. Cependant, ce changement n’a pas eu lieu parce qu’ils se rendaient aux lieux de leur choix, mais parce qu’ils suivaient tout simplement la direction que le Seigneur leur indiquait. Et sur ce chemin ils étaient appelés à quitter d’un point quelconque à un autre, exactement comme dans cette photo où le bateau, afin d’atteindre l’autre rivage, devra passer par la mer déchainée. Dans notre marche avec le Seigneur, nous sommes aussi appelés à aller de rive en rive afin d’accomplir ce pour quoi Il nous appelle. Mais sommes-nous prêts à embarquer et vivre l’aventure avec Lui ? Cette série sur l'autre rive sera centrée sur les textes de (Marc 4:35–40 et Marc 5:1). Et ensemble nous verrons comment lever l’ancre de notre bateau afin de cheminer avec le Seigneur vers l’arrivée. Ce même jour, sur le soir, Jésus leur dit :

Passons à l'autre bord. Après avoir renvoyé la foule, ils l'emmenèrent dans la barque où il se trouvait ; il y avait aussi d'autres barques avec lui.  (Marc 4:35-36)

1- Répondre à l’appel que Dieu nous fait d’aller plus loin.

Saisi des fois par la peur de l’inconnu, il nous est difficile de dire oui lorsque le Seigneur nous appelle à passer de l'autre bord. Mais ce que nous ignorons est que ce changement de cap est primordial non seulement pour notre croissance, mais aussi, afin que tous les coins de la terre connaissent Christ. Par ailleurs, passer à l’autre rive nécessite un « oui » de notre part. Mais il ne s’agit pas d’un « oui » qui ait besoin qu’on réponde aux questions du genre : « Seigneur qu’est ce qui m’attend ? qu’est-ce que je vais y trouver ? » Savoir où l’on va est une bonne chose. Toutefois, marcher avec le Seigneur c’est aussi emprunter une route dont la ligne d’arrivée est inconnue. C’est pourquoi Paul pouvait dire dans (2 Corinthiens 5:7) que “ Nous marchons par la foi, non par la vue. ” Nous ne connaissons pas où la route nous mènera, mais nous avons l’assurance qu’elle nous mènera quelque part car Christ est avec nous.

2-  Le Seigneur précède nos pas.

En effet, le Seigneur ne nous inviterait pas à embarquer si Il n’avait pas déjà préparé le chemin et embarqué Lui-même. Car avant même que les disciples n’entrent dans la barque, Jésus s’y trouvait déjà. Oui, avant que nous ayons fait un pas, qu’Il en a déjà fait cent car c’est le genre de Dieu qu’il est. Notre situation ne lui est pas étrangère, encore moins le chemin que nous devons parcourir. Il promet de nous instruire, de nous conseiller, d’avoir le regard sur nous, et de nous montrer la voix que nous devons suivre, (Psaume 32:8). Cependant, il nous appelle à un travail d’équipe. C’est pourquoi Il dira « passons. » Il ne s’agirait donc pas de laisser le Seigneur faire tout à notre place. Au contraire, nous devons participer et collaborer avec Lui dans un esprit de communion, afin d’atteindre un objectif commun.

Lorsque nous disons oui à l’appel de Dieu pour nos vies, nous disons aussi non à toute chose qui nous retient captif. Il pourrait s’agir des pensées défaitistes, de la peur, des richesses, ou des relations. Mais en abandonnant tout aux pieds de Christ et en nous consacrant totalement à Lui, Il transformera notre pensée et nous remplira davantage de sa personne.

Merci Seigneur parce-que tu nous appelles à te suivre. Donne-nous de nous donner entièrement à toi et de marcher dans les voix que tu nous indiqueras. Amen !

Over the years, the Lord used his children in different ways to promote change. However, this change did not take place because they were going to places of their choice, but because they simply followed the direction that the Lord showed them. And on this path they were asked to leave at any point to another, just like in this picture where the boat to reach the other shore, will go through the raging sea. In our walk with the Lord, we are also called to go to shore to shore in order to accomplish that for which He calls us. But are we ready to take on and experience the adventure with him? This series on the other side will focus on the texts of (Mark 4:35-40 and Mark 5:1). And together we will see how to sail our boat to journey with the Lord towards the finish.

That same day, in the evening, Jesus said to them: Let us go to the other side After dismissing the crowd, they took him into the boat where he was;. there were also other boats with him. (Mark 4: 35-36).

1- Answer the call that God made ​​us to go further.

Once seized by fear of the unknown, it is difficult to say yes when the Lord calls us to cross to the other edge. But what we do not know is that this change is vital not only to our growth but so that every corner of the earth may know Christ. Also, switch to the other side requires a "yes" from us. But it is not a "yes" that needs an answer to questions like : "Lord what do I expect? What do I find? "Know where you are going is good. However, walk with the Lord is also entering a road whose finish line is unknown. This is why Paul could say in (2 Corinthians 5:7), "We walk by faith, not by sight. "We do not know where the road will lead us, but we have the assurance that it will lead us somewhere because Christ is with us.

2- The Lord above our feet.

Indeed, the Lord does not invite us to embark if He had not already prepared the way and embedded himself. Because even before the disciples enter into the boat, Jesus was already there. Yes, before we have taken a step that He has already made ​​a hundred as it is the kind of God he is. Our situation was not foreign to him, much less the way we must go He promises to instruct us, advise us to have eyes on us, and show us the voice we must follow, (Psalm 32:8). . However, it calls us to teamwork. That is why He will say "pass. "So it would not let the Lord do all in our place. Instead, we must participate and collaborate with Him in a spirit of communion, to achieve a common goal.

When we say yes to the call of God for our lives, we also say no to anything that holds us captive. It could be defeatist thoughts, fear, wealth, or relationships. But by abandoning all at the feet of Christ and dedicating ourselves totally to Him, He will transform our thinking and we will fill more of person.

Thank you Lord because-as you call us to follow you. Give us to give ourselves entirely to you and walk the voice that you indiqueras us. Amen !
